November 14 Another good friend leaving - 很伤心 Had one of the hetic day I had on Friday 13th. Lots of trains delay and miss several trains while taking my friend to the airport. Just took one of my good friend to the airport, the first person and prob the last one (I hope) seeing her off. Now she has left UK and gone back to China. I dont know when she will be back or whether she will ever come back. Though I only know her just over 2 years, I felt that we had developed a good close friendship. Making thinking back all the times we spend together and how we got to know each other. The first time I met her was through her sister as I knew her, I got the impression of her was that she was quiet and shy girl. I didnt expect to get to know her well, as she went to a different uni in another city. As I got to know her, I found out that her birthday was very close to me, first time I met a girl whose birthday was near mine. The memories of going travelling with her and her sister was and always will be my highlight of my life. Going nottingham, Southport and Liverpool..all good and funny memories. Finding out that she was leaving made me felt crush, made the same impact as when her sister left back home. Though I didnt see her alot but the thought she wouldnt be in UK anymore left me feeling alone. Making friends from China is definitely hard as they have to go back to China, guess I always been dreading the moment when they say they leave. After she went into the departure, it took awhile for me for the fact that May has left back to China. As I got closer back to birmingham, it hit me quite hard making me think back all the good times we had. Also the day we spend together on her last day. I definitely treasure her forever also few other people. I guess all I can say to her is "wish her all the best and hope we can still stay in contact" 拜拜 阿May..希望我们可以再见面. 我会想念你! March 01 First Tina is gone, then Amy (阿红) then Elaine (姐姐/阿4) now Ying - 唐莹 (家姐)Making friends from China is a hard thing to do consider that you are not a mainlander but a BBC. For me, in my final year, making friends with them was a good moment but the higher point was that I became really good friends with them such as Tina, Shirely (阿姨) and Maggie (小朋友) I never expected to like one of them for a while esp when we are doing different course and dont see much of each other only the weekend. I also never expected that I would be close to two of them and lived with them when I moved to Birmignahm after I grad. When Tina was the first one to leave for China, it was bareable but for Amy to leave so soon afterwards after I moved to Birmingham and living with her. It broke my heart and made me think about moving back home. Luckily for my sister (Ying) and my brother would be still here. Knowing Amy for a year was one of my best time in the final year of uni as we shared many good times together esp the times when we lived together. Elaine left just before christmas but came back to uk for a while. Now she left back to China last night. Though I know here for a short period of time, we still had many funny moments together. The most important girl in my life that I met in final year was Ying (家姐). When I first met her, I didnt think that we would become really close and that I would consider as my older sister. Coming back from Germany on a business trip two weeks ago, my sister told me the news that I been dreading to hear that she would be leaving back to China in 3 weeks time. When i heard the news, my heart sudden broke. With Amy already left, my heart was already broken but for my sister to leave, it made my heart and spirit crush to hear that she would be leaving. To make it worse, I found out that I would be going to Germanz again for a business trip the day before she leaves which meant I couldnt see her off to the airport. I didnt see Amy off when she left as I had to work and I knew I couldnt do it esp she was the girl I liked for a while. Now I cant see my sister off to the airport, my heart was crushed for not be able to do that. When I come back from Germany, my sister wont be there to greet me which will leave a big hole in my heart. Knowing Ying has been just over a year and we had many fun times together, going to London, Oxford and Cardiff. Living with her made my life worthwhile when moving to Birmingham Without her, Amy and my brother, I wouldnt have consider to moved to Birmingham and get a job. Now with one of them leaving one by one, it making me wonder how long I can last without them esp my sister not being by myself supporting me anyone and comfort me when I´m sad. Now I´m off to Germany and I cant see her off to the airport and when I come back from my trip I woont be able to see her ever again which breaks my heart. 唐莹, 家姐 我会想念你. I´m so happy that I met you and consider you as my beloved sister. Wherever you are, I will always treasure you and you will always be in my heart. I love you, 家姐! January 01 New Years' Resolution Wow..2008 has gone passed. What a year. Meet many new people and now I'm graduated. I guess 2008 has the most up and downs I ever had. Liked a girl more than I thought I would and did things I didnt expect because of my friends. Now its 2009 which means new resolutions which I will try to complete. So here is my list of resolutions:
May 13 Final Year Exams Has Started!! Argghh!!Just had my first exam yesteday which was Data Mining. I thought I was prepare for the exam but when I walked into the exam, I forgot everything and it was much harder than expected. Seems like I wasnt prepare for it. Now all I got to prepare for the next exams and have to ace it in order to make up for the poor marks early of the year.
Seems like the 3rd Year has gone so quick and funny thing I been hanging around with first and second years rarely people who is in my year group. These first years making me feel wish that I was in the first year again. Had a really busy Easter, doing my final year report and 2 essays on the Project Management which took a lot of my time, but it didnt stop me going to Oxford with my sister and brother which was a fun day to be with them. Before the Easter, I had final dinner with the fecx committee which was pretty fun. We went for dinner then with to Vikki's place to have some dessert and the next thing we know we were taking lots of random group pictures which all end up really fun. We only manage to take two sensible pictures. The first one is one of my favourite pictures of the committee. It looks soo family and look at the santa who looks really professional about the picture!
When the third and final semster of my uni life, I went to a chinese party with my sister and brother along with good friends, Amy and Shirley which was a pretty good night as I was in a different group from usual.
Wow third year has def gone so quick esp the last month, I never had soo much fun in my third year esp hanging around with my sister, brother and Amy. I always have a great time with them and have a great laugh.
Anyways I must get back to my revision as got to prepare for my final 4 exams which is next week which I need to do well to make up for the exam yesterday which properly was the hardest exam I hav ever taken. I must get a 2:1 to be able to stay Birmingham for one more year to do the Master and spend one more year with my friends I thought I will never have. Good luck for those have exams!! I kno you can do it!
March 13 3rd Year has almost ended! Wow the end of 3rd yr 2nd Semster has almost ended but really been busying doing the final yr project. Should be doing it at the moment but just writing a blog which since a while when i last written an entry. this prob will be a brief entry but hav a full entry as soon i finish my project. All i can say that my life is a mess..arrghh!! June 26 Second Yr has ended :'(Done exams and got the results on fri which was not good as I hav to come back in August to retake them. Wahaa!! Took my girlfriend to the airport who really love. Miss her like mad! Started to cry when I was waiting for the train to go home. Dont believe that I actually cried..first time i actually to start to miss someone. Never felt like this in the first yr. Feel soo lonely here cos I spent the past month with her. Took her ice skating (which she loves) three times before she went back to china yesterday. Also took her to clubbing for the first time going together. Also Alton Towers which I kinda organised just for her.
I really miss her and feel soo lonely without her. Trying to do something to make time fly as not going home till end of the month, so been packing stuff and trying to do revision for the resits in the summer. 3 months without is going to be a long time, 1st time having a girlfriend and already missing her like mad. Friends says thats normal but I dunno cos I never actually cried when not seeing for few months. Maybe I'm really in love with her. Got soo many pictures of her so I can look at her when I really miss her tho its not as good looking at her real life, Unbelievable that some songs I listen to now starting to make cry a bit cos it has some link to her. Had a great time going Alton Towers with friends and her. So much fun, went on many of the rides which was fun. Manage to get one of my friend to overcome his fear of rollercoaster cos it was quite funny after he went on one ride and he couldnt stop going all the rides. A very tiring day but it was a great day as it was nice to organise a big trip for friends. Went to my soceity ball which I helped organised which the event was good. Took loads of pictures and had an enjoyable night. Was a great night out and was very tired that day so stayed at my friends place. So funny after the exams...my housemates didnt see much of me cos I was at my girlfriend place most of the time cos wanted to spent as much time with her. Made muffins and cookies with her and tried her cooking as well cooking for her which was interesting as we taste each other cooking tho I say hers is the best and already miss it. Went to Manchester United football ground, Old Trafford on saturday the day before my girlfriend went back home. Went with her and my friend from home. It was quite a nice visit cos I dont like Man Utd and went to their stadium to look around. It was like wow! Never been inside a football stadium and it was quite nice. Took a lot of pictures of the stadium. Wouldnt mind going to the Baracelona Stadium cos I heard it was as big as this one. Rung one of my friend who is a Man Utd supporter and teased him that I went there and found out a surpise information which was that he went to Spurs Football ground which I always wanted to go but he never been to Old Trafford. Which meant that I was via versa. Saw Pirates of the Caribbean and Fantastic Four 2 both with Christine (haiyue) cos she wanted to see them. Pirates was good think it was better than the 2d but not the first. Fantastic 2 was good but I cant compare it to the first one cos I havent seen it yet. Long entry eh? Thats the problem of not writing to often. Second year has gone past and time has flew soo quick! Many things I have regret, one is def not getting to kno my girlfriend early in the first semster in the second year. Already thinking about her and listening to a song which she likes and making me think about the past. Got to find a way to tell my parents! Still havent told them. Dunno how tho, but I do kno that I really love her. March 11 Twins, Ambassadors for Xbox 360![]() Twins’ young and energetic image has caused them to become Hong Kong’s ambassador for ‘Xbox 360’. Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi received a seven number amount for working on this ad and could play games as much as they wanted. The advertisement company have planned to promote greatly and so, they have released a limited Twins edition of the Xbox. Twins, Kenny Kwan and Yumiko Cheng worked on the design of this limited edition and all proceeds made from the selling of this edition of Xbox will go to charity. On the 16th of March a ‘Xbox 360 First Generation King Party’ will be held. Twins and all their fans will be competing in this competition. Although Twins enjoy playing video games they will not be obsessed with it. They will usually play when they are waiting for their turn when filming or when working overseas, they will play video games in the hotel to relax. March 05 Charlene Choi will play a breakthrough role in new filmCharlene has joined the entertainment world for quite a few years now, yet most of the movies she acted in were mainly comedies. But recently, Charlene has accepted a new thriller film with an investment of two million dollars. The temporary name in Chinese is translated as 'Delusion'. In this new movie, Charlene will play a patient suffering from delusions, therefore she will have a very sensitive personality and extremely nervous behaviour. Although other casts in the film will include Isabelle and Shawn Yue, the main scenes will obviously be given to the main lead. Due to the fact that Charlene will have a lot of internal conflicts, there will be many scenes where she will have act to herself, a definite breakthrough role. As for Charlene herself, she is very looking forward to this film and rather nervous with her performance. She hopes that by this role, she can compete for an film award so that her movie career will raise one step higher. The director himself [one of the Pang brothers] had worked with Charlene before and believes that Charlene is the most appropriate role for this new film, also admitting that he greatly admires this actress. In the film, Shawn and Charlene will have some romance and Isabelle will be her best friend who always comforts her. The film will officially start filming next month. It will be film in Thailand!! February 09 Gillian Chung Got Injured By Raymond Wong While Filming "49 Days"![]() In the upcoming movie, "49 Days", is where Raymond Wong tries out an evil role for the very first time. He does any bad thing of the sort, and near the end of the movie, he'll be punching Gillian Chung, abusing Kau Lap Yee and will be in a fight with Stephen Fung. Before filming this scene, Stephen expressed excitedly, "It's been a long time since I've done some fighting; I can finally show my fighting skills." Gillian, on the other hand, felt a bit of fright since Raymond is six feet tall, she said, "Even though I've worked with Raymond Wong before, we all get really into the scene when the camera starts rolling, so it's possible to actually be injured. I especially told him, "Please do me a favour, and don't go too hard on me!" After filming the scene, Gillian continued, "I remember reading some news a while ago about Raymond causing an injury on his co-star(Michelle Ye)'s nose while filming for a TV series (Central Affairs), and she had to be sent to the hospital afterwards. I was quite scared at that time, but thinking more into it, to have the effects turn out to be realistic, I then told him to give me all he has got. One was he stomping on my hand, and the other was he wresting my hair, he also bent my arm backwards forcefully too. It really hurted then, but for the sake of the scene, everything had to keep going. Afterwards, I found that my head was bruised and the joints of my arm had some minor injuries." As for Kau Lap Yee, who portrays Stephen's daughter in the movie, she was awfully frightened after the scene for quite a few days. Whenever she see Raymond on the set, she would immediately avoid him, making Raymond feel a little sad. Charlene Choi & Ronald Cheng Talking About Getting Married![]() Rumour has it that Charlene Choi and Ronald Cheng have been to America for a holiday together and that their relationship has gone to a level where they are talking about getting married. The main purpose to go to USA was to meet the parents. It is said that during the Chinese New Year holidays, Ronald and his father returned to USA to visit his mother and younger sister. Ronald invited Charlene and her mother to come as well. It is said that in order to go to USA without anyone noticing, Charlene and her mother first flew to Shenzhen, then to Beijing and then boarded a plane to go to America. On the first day of the New Year, Charlene wore a hat to try and cover her face at the Shenzhen airport. Her close friends were on the look out for any reporters. But in the Beijing airport, her friend spotted a reporter. The friend quickly explained that Charlene, Charlene’s mother and themselves were having a holiday in Beijing. But reports say that it was organised tht Charlene was to board a plane to go to America. On the other hand, Ronald and his father took a flight from Hong Kong to Los Angeles. Regarding issues on Ronald and Charlene going to America to meet the parents, Ronald’s management company stated that during the holidays, Ronald and his family did go on a vacation. The company did not reveal information on the whereabouts and with whom. Charlene’s management company commented that Charlene did have a job when going to Beijing. But during her days off, her company will have no rights to ask her. February 02 Gillian Chung Is Disappointed Because Of Restriction From Kissing![]() Gillian Chung and Stephen Fung had a wonderful time cooperating in a new movie, "49 Days". Already having a considerable amount of experience in acting, but she actually had a hard time filming a scene of where she was supposed to steal a kiss on Stephen's cheek, she said, "I don't have much experience with kissing, so I kinda made a joke while filming because I kept slamming towards his head while trying to kiss him. There were many NG's before we finished the scene; it was so embarassing." Gillian expressed that she still hasn't given away her first on-screen kiss, and expressed that she probably won't be able to do some passionate kissing until she turns 30, she said, "Of course I'd want to leave my first on-screen kiss for Takuya Kimura, but I don't think he'd lay eyes on me though. Cho Seung-Woo's fine too. I've cooperated Daniel Wu before in Beyond Our Ken, but I wasn't allowed to share a kiss with him. I sure missed out on that!" She admits that her company is very strict towards her; therefore, there are many restrictions on which movies she's allowed to film. Gillian expressed that she has had a talk with her manager about her own thoughts towards the matter of filming kissing scenes. She said, "I really want to film a tragic romance movie, but my company forbids me from kissing or doing anything intimate, so it's really hard to receive movies as such." Also, her rumoured boyfriend, Alex Fong, will be having intimate scenes with a sexy girl, Pace Wu, in a new movie, but Gillian only responded, "That's good. Why should I be jealous? It doesn't have anything to do with me." Stephen is starting up his own production company, and will start producing many grand productions of movies and series. He revealed that while filming "49 Days", he usually gets off work very early. Towards starting up his new company, will he invite his girlfriend, Karen Mok, to participate in the productions? He didn't give much of a response and towards whether he will start backing away from the on-screen part of his career, Stephen said, "I think I'll be sticking around for a bit as long as I'm still skinny and handsome enough to be on-screen." Even though there are many entertainment couples who are announcing their wedding date lately, Stephen answered in opposite, "Getting married just to follow everyone else? That's so old." January 30 Twins & Nicholas Tse Wishes Everyone A Happy New YearTwins and Nicholas Tse are always busy throughout the year. Twins frequently work in mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong while Nicholas is usually busy with mainland work and movie productions. For Chinese New Year, Gillian Chung, Charlene Choi and Nicholas flew to Beijing to attend a New Year celebration. The busybodies did not forget to wish everyone a happy New Year. They wish that workers will get pay rises while students to improve in their studies. January 15 Gillian Will Have No Birthday Parties This Year Twins have released their 4th Chinese New Year album. Yesterday, at a promotion function, Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung expressed that they only want to bring happiness to everyone and are not worried about album sales. But by seeing how many people came to the function to see them, we can tell how strong Twins’ attraction is. At the function, Twins sang ‘富貴黃金屋’ while handing out posters and lollies. Two little girls were organised by organisers to go on stage, looking like Twins at their concert. When asked to add some accessories on the little girls, Gillian told them to do different poses. Yesterday, was Gillian’s Chinese calendar birthday. Gillian said that she will not hold any parties because they have to attend the ‘JSG Award Ceremony’ in the night. She will celebrate her birthday at the after party. Gillian also stated that she will not be holding parties for her birthday on the 21st of this month because she has to attend another award ceremony. Gillian revealed that she has received a present from Charlene but will not say what the present is. When asked if she had birthday wishes, Gillian wishes for health and world peace. When asked if she wanted to have a boyfriend, Gillian said that you can’t force these things. Charlene said, “We want to work on more movies and advertisements but not work on dates.” January 07 Joey Suffers From 'Hong Kong Coliseum-itus'![]() Twins’ second show of their ‘Twins The Missing Piece Concert’ was held at the Hong Kong Coliseum. Their first guest performer was Kenny Kwan who sang ‘靈犀’. It was most hilarious when Kenny requested to sing ‘先知’ with Charlene. Due to the fact that the MV of the sing has a kiss scene between the two, Gillian said, “Fine! Just don’t care about me!” This made the crowd roar with laughter. When Twins were singing ‘你講你愛我’, Joey Yung suddenly appeared on the stage and sang along with them. After this performance, Joey knew that Twins had to go and change costumes, so she said, “You guys can go down and change the clothes. I will take care of the stage, so no need to worry!” While Twins were changing, Joey sang her new song ‘赤地雪’. At the ending of the song, Joey took the lowering machine in the middle of the stage. When getting of the machine, she quickly rushed to change her clothes. This caused the workers to laugh, saying that Joey was suffering from ‘Hong Kong Coliseum-itus’ because Joey thought it was her concert and she needed to change clothes. The last guest performer was a member of the grasshoppers. He and Twins sang a mandarin duet. December 30 Jackie Chan picks Gao Yuanyuan for new film BEIJING, Dec. 30 -- Backed by Jackie Chan's JCE Movies, "Project BB" secretly started shooting in Hong Kong. Mainland leading actress Gao Yuanyuan began work on the film a week ago, The Beijing News reported.
"Project BB" reportedly continues Chan's kung fu comedies, with three robbers who kidnap a baby. Familiar faces from Chan's "Project A," including Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung, are on board with the baby. "Project BB" is directed by Benny Chen with screenplay by Yuen Kam-lun. Chan's previous project, "New Police Story," was a big box-office success on the mainland. Gao met Chan at this year's Cannes Film Festival, where her movie "Shanghai Dreams" was in competition. Chan has characterized Gao as a fresh, chaste spirit no Hong Kong actress could approach, according to a source close to the situation. Chan, Gao and her agent connected in Hong Kong in October at the celebration of the centennial of the Chinese film industry. And now she's on the set with "Project BB." Jackie Chan's new film begins shooting in HKBEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- "Baby," a new film cooperated by Jackie Chan and Hong Kong director Benny Chan after "New Police Story," began shooting in Hong Kong on Thursday.
The film, at cost of 130 million Hong Kong dollars and producedby Huayi Brothers & Taihe Film Investment Co, Ltd. and JCE Movies Ltd., is expected to finish shooting in March 2006 and be releasedpublicly in October, according to a source with Huayi. December 25 Twins believes that they looked ugly![]() Twins attended the opening ceremony for their 2006 concert in Hong Kong. At the ceremony, Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung played games with their fans. The fans reacted well to the situation and for the fans who won games, they received an album with all the photos from every photo shoot Twins have done since entering the entertainment circle. As this album is very precious, Gillian and Charlene themselves only have one album each but they are too afraid to have a look inside the album because they believe that they didn’t look good when entering the circle. Charlene said that her face was too big and her eye brows were too thick. She believes that she looked scary then. Charlene cannot believe that the organisers made their photos as the prize because it is horrible to look at. Twins new album will be released near the end of the month. A white gold number of copies have been delivered to CD shops, which makes Charlene and Gillian very happy. Besides from promoting their new album, Twins are also rehearsing for their concert. At the moment, they believe that the fast song part of the concert is the most challenging to do. In this part of the concert, they have to sing some other artist’s song, they have to remember to lyrics and the dance moves. Gillian was so tired from dancing, that she twisted her left ankle. Gillian’s right leg is also recovering from an infection, so both of her legs are injured at the moment. Gillian is not worried that her legs will affect the concert because they will heal by then. Gillian believes that this tiring part of the concert is worth it because it will show a side of Twins that the public have never seen before. December 24 Twins release new albumBeijing, Dec. 24 -- Twins' latest album, The Missing Piece, is out on sale on Thursday. Fans have placed orders on the albums and if all the albums ordered are sold, Twins will have already sold a white golden number.
The hard work Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi placed on the album payed off. The main theme of the album is day and night. The designer used the dark night to bring out Gillian's quiet personality and used bright day to bring out Charlene's open personality. The photo shoot for their album and concert started at midday and ended in the morning of the next day. Charlene was sick then and had also been working throughout the night on the previous night, so did not have time to see the doctor. It was planned for Charlene to see a doctor after the photo shoot, but during the night, Charlene could not handle it and announced that she felt faint. Workers stopped straight away and organised for Charlene to have a rest. Charlene's assistant called Charlene's family doctor straight away. After Charlene got an injection, workers planned to not continue working. But Charlene insisted on working and after 2 hours rest, she started to work. When asked why did she not give up on working, Charlene said, "If just one person stops everyone from working, it is not worth it. I know that I could handle it."
